Dear Faithful Ministry Partners:

On July 15, 2015 I left for the Philippines to conduct discipleship and evangelism seminars at Tanza Baptist Church and Lakeshore Baptist Church. A total of 100 pastors and their wives attended these seminars.

Training Filipino Pastors To Develop A Culture of Discipleship

I was able to visit a total of 5 churches in the Philippines and was invited to preach in  two of these churches. My goal was to encourage the pastors to develop a culture of discipleship in their churches. Through the seminars they learned why   discipleship is important in the 21st century, what discipleship is all about, and how to train believers in their churches to  engage in the process of disciple-making. The seminars also included evangelism training—how to present the gospel effectively.

Most of the pastors who attended the discipleship seminars did not have seminary training. They truly appreciated the seminars and are now able to train their own congregations.

Pastors Receive Study Bibles

Pastors in the Philippines do not get paid a good salary. Most of them take on tent-making jobs to provide for their families. We were able to give away 15 Study Bibles to the pastors whose names were drawn from a hat. We also provided all the attendees with a discipleship bookdiscipleship material, and  notes on the seminars.

The pastors were very excited to receive the Study Bibles. They will be a great tool to help them prepare their sermons and Bible studies.

Thank You For Your Faithful Support!

Christianity is under attack in our own country and around the world. Without your prayers and financial support, we would not be able to equip and encourage believers to stand firm in their Christian faith and reproduce themselves in others in order to reach their world with the life-changing gospel of Jesus Christ.
